Review of Dream Girl 2:

Four years after the release of the first Dream Girl, which was entertaining due to its peculiar concept and light-hearted setting, director Raj Shandilya brings us this comedy. The second installment’s framework is somewhat similar. Karamveer (Ayushmann Khurrana) must fast amass a sizeable sum of money if he plans to wed his girlfriend Pari Shrivastav (Ananya Pandey).
He so poses as Puja and works as a dancer in Sona Bhai’s (Vijay Raaz) bar under this guise. Pooja Shaukia (Rajpal Yadav), who pretends to be a doctor and treats her brother Shahrukh (Abhishek Banerjee) for mental health issues following a divorce, attracts unwanted attention in addition to Sona Bhai.
The narrative’s detailed depiction of mental health difficulties might have been handled more delicately instead of being dismissed as “rich person’s disease.” The family has pledged to offer Shahrukh’s father, Abu Salim (Paresh Rawal), a reward of 5 million rupees for marrying Puja, as he feels this to be the best course of action.
In the midst of this, Jumani (Seema Pahwa), the sister of Shahrukh and Shaukia, develops feelings for Karam, much to the chagrin of her father Jagjit Singh (Annu Kapoor).

Some tracks are drawn out in an effort to include the characters’ antics into the story, such as when Karam changes between himself and Puja. A few of the movie’s comedic parts come off as overdone and unnecessary. Comedy movies rely heavily on speech and comic timing to make audiences laugh, but in this case, the one-liners are unfunny and never really take off.

His friend Smiley (Manjot Singh) says, “Power is not left, but Power Kapoor is still a kid,” while pointing to an elderly patron on the dance floor in an effort to persuade Karam to become a dance lady. A number of songs continue to be released, with the exception of Dil Ka Telephone 2.0, and other than a fresh rendition of the original movie’s hit song, Meet Bros and Tanishk Bagchi’s music isn’t very remarkable.

Dream Girl 2 story frequently veers into unneeded comedy….

In the movie,

Ayushmann Khurrana seamlessly switches between the roles of Karam and Puja. He excels in the dance portions in particular, expertly portraying the rhythm and moves. He holds some of the stronger scenes in the movie and is clearly skilled at performing situational comedy on stage. Ananya Pandey’s stage time is constrained, and she struggles to deliver her light speech consistently. Paresh Rawal, Seema Pahwa, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, and Abhishek Banerjee all provide great assistance, with Annu Kapoor standing out above the others.
