After dating for a number of years, Mahira Khan married Salim Karim. The Pakistani actress was formerly married to Ali Askari; their son, Azlan, was born in 2009 as a result of that union. Images and videos from Mahira Khan and Salim’s wedding were widely shared on social media on Monday. Salim Karim, the CEO of Simpaisa, is said to be a multifaceted businessman who has established himself in the industry. According to the newspaper, his business enables startups to make payments directly through their SIM cards, simplifying financial transactions for a large number of people. Mahira apparently first met Salim in 2017 at the launch of a television program called “Tapmad TV.” Mahira made her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan in “Raees” that same year.

Mahira announced that she was in a serious relationship while appearing as a guest on Samina Peerzada’s web show, “Rewind with Samina Peerzada,” in 2020. Mahira nodded as the seasoned actress queried whether she was in a meaningful relationship. “Yes, I do believe that I am in love,” Mahira had remarked. Mahira responded, “I don’t know, I’m very shy about it,” when Samina congratulated her and questioned more. Samina then enquired as to whether Mahira would reveal the identity of the fortunate recipient, to which she replied, “You’ll know, but he’s not from the industry.”
