“PM Modi declared, ‘Today I dedicate ‘Yashobhumi’ to every worker and every ‘Vishwakarma’ of the country.'” The prime minister went on to say that the country now has a government that acknowledges the marginalized.
In our nation, “Vishwakarma” is regarded as the person who has created everything around us, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said at the launch of the “PM Vishwakarma” scheme. They are skilled craftspeople. These talented craftspeople have always been there for us, among us, and all around us.
In fact, they helped our economy become independent and productive. India was able to establish itself as a global leader with a thriving economy and in-demand products even 500 years ago for this reason.
Along with the toolkit e-booklet, the prime minister released 18 stamp sheets specifically designed to cover 18 traditional companies to coincide with the inauguration of the Vishwakarma initiative. This program provides coverage for these workers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said, “Under your (PM Modi’s) leadership, numerous events, including Jee20, were organized in every region of India despite difficult global situations. It brought together all Indians and made it known as “Jee20 for the people.”
It was described as the “Modi-fied G20” by a top economist in a publication this morning. You have given your approval to the leaders of New Delhi’s claim that they will soon set a new course for the world and alter the current situation, Goyal said.
Today, Prime Minister Modi views the entire world as his family, according to Central Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He has accepted the duty of bringing the globe together. He just accepted responsibility for considering the world’s impoverished class at the G20 Summit.
When we chose PM Modi as our leader in 2014, he declared in his opening statement that this government will be for the weak and oppressed. There have been a lot of Jan Dhan accounts opened throughout these nine and a half years, in my opinion. The Prime Minister stated that thousands of Vishwakarma brothers and sisters will receive loans with low interest rates under the “Vishwakarma” program today.
The Vishwakarma Scheme is what?
The Vishwakarma Scheme strives to expand the market and raise the standard of the goods and services provided by traditional craftsmen and artisans.
This program offers a venture development loan of INR 1 lakh (first installment for 18 months) and INR 2 lakh (second installment for 30 months) that is free of collateral.
Beneficiaries will get a 5% subsidized interest rate with an additional 8% interest rebate for on-time repayments, and the Central Government will cover the cost of the credit guarantee charge.
While speaking to the crowd at Yashobhumi, Prime Minister Modi informed artisans and craftsmen about the “Made in India” toolkit and highlighted that they should only purchase from establishments that have registered for GST.
During approaching festivities like Ganesh Chaturthi, Dhanteras, and Diwali, he urged people to purchase local goods in addition to supporting the government’s “Vocal for Local” strategy.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister, this month authorized the “PM Vishwakarma” initiative, which will cost INR 13,000 crore over five years (from the financial years 2023–24 to 2027–28).
Under the Vishwakarma program, credit assistance of up to INR 1 lakh (first payment) and INR 2 lakh (second installment) at a 5% subsidized interest rate will be provided. Artisans and craftsmen will also be recognized through the PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card.
